More then 30 of the 50 least industrialized nations on Earth are in Africa. Africa Industrialization Day is meant to bring attention to that fact and to uniting people in finding ways to change it.

On and around 20 November, there are special media campaigns, conferences, and events promoting the process of industrializing Africa, which could lead to stronger economies in some of the world’s poorest countries. The UN Industrial Development Organization also issues statements concerning African Industrialization on this day.
